Fact vs. Fiction: Everyone Needs to Eat Breakfast

For years we've been told that breakfast is "the most important meal of the day." I was even taught this concept when I was studying for my nutrition certification. The truth? It's not that simple.
FICTION: Everyone needs to eat breakfast every morning.
FACT: Everyone needs proper nutrition—but not everyone needs to eat first thing in the morning.
Some people wake up hungry and perform better after a balanced breakfast. Others aren't hungry until later and feel perfectly energized waiting a few hours before eating. Neither approach is automatically right or wrong.
The real question isn't, "Did you eat breakfast?"
The better question is...
"Did you give your body what it needed today?"
If you're eating a donut and a sugary coffee at 7:00 a.m., you checked the "breakfast" box, but did you really fuel your body?
On the other hand, if you wait until 10:30 or 11:00 and eat eggs, lean protein, fruit, and whole grains, you've probably made the healthier choice for your body.
Health isn't about following rules simply because someone said so.
It's about learning how your body responds, understanding your goals, and making intentional decisions.
At FITTness™, we don't coach people to follow myths.
We coach people to understand why they're making the choices they make.
Because when you understand the "why," you're empowered to make the right decision—even when no one is watching.
Coach's Porch Thought:The best eating plan isn't the one everyone else is following. It's the one you can consistently follow that fuels your body, supports your goals, and helps you become healthier for the long haul.
What's your experience? Do you wake up hungry, or are you someone who naturally doesn't eat until later in the morning? Let's talk. #FITTness #FactVsFiction #HealthTruth #Nutrition #CoachsPorch #GuidanceTodayEmpowermentTomorrow
